I am thankful for the return of weather. We've had a lovely run of spring days and today wind, clouds, and rain! It's nice to have a bit of wild weather to hold off the long run of day after day getting closer to the hot summer. Hurray for Spring!

Lori's Flower Show

I am thankful for Friday. It's been a good week but a different schedule seemed to wear a lot of us out at work. We relaxed a bit more this afternoon and ended the week quietly.

More Fun

I am thankful for my sister. We phone often. Whether the call is short or long I'm grateful for the love and connectedness.
Here is another photo from yesterday:
Yes, yes I did take some knitting with me on the field trip. It's an easy hat project. No muss, no fuss, no stress. The little girl sitting next to me was quite fascinated. She and a few others took turns sitting next to me and trying it out. And, lucky for me, I can now size that particular loom as "not for elementary aged school children". LOL!

Santa Barbara Mission
Day 130
I am thankful for a great day. I accompanied our two fourth grade classes to the Santa Barbara Mission today. The kids mostly behaved, no one was injured, parent chaperons were great, we had a fine docent and the Mission was as beautiful and charming as ever.

Spring Continues

I am thankful that tomorrow I get to go on a field trip with the two fourth grade classes at my school! We're off to see the Santa Barbara Mission, the Queen of the Missions. I think it's funny that we're going there since that's where I was recently visiting.
My garden flowers are starting to bloom. In addition to the lilacs I have roses appearing and amaryllis nearly open. Here are today's photos, some from the morning and some from the afternoon:
