Day 331
I am thankful for knitting time. I have not mastered the "big" projects. I'm making what I hoped would be a prayer shawl for a friend but I think wide scarf is a better description at 10 1/2 inches wide. But, it is a step closer to a big project. Another small project presented itself this last week. A colleague gave birth to premie twins. I'm going to make a two sets of hats, no booties.
I'm not thrilled with this yarn so I went hunting in my stash for something softer. Might take a few days to get the small project done.
Halfway! This is one skein of Lion Brand Homespun yarn in Montana Sky blue:

Wow! Wow! Look at that shawl/shoulder shrug in sky blue with the ribs! It's beautiful! I like it! The ribs look really cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's "your" shade of blue. I knew you'd like this one. I'm so glad you showed me this stitch pattern. I'd like to try the blue rake now with another stitch pattern. Maybe something for Lorna? First though, finish this one!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to keep going on mine. Knitting is not something I pick up and do, like you, it seems, even though I like it. Lita's already through chemo treatment and back ready to ring, and I'm not even 1/4 finished with hers! I'd like to try that blue rake too, to make a wider shawl. The white/sparkly one I started for me I'm going to tear apart -- too knotted looking and I just don't like the white. Too light. I like the blues, browns, and greens better for shawls, I think.
