1:30 p.m., ish: Green lights. Oranges. Dark chocolate covered anything. Lunch. Grocery stores.
Peel, then drive:
4:30 p.m., ish: places that stay open the day of Christmas Eve AND have cheerful employees, more green lights, hand lotion, aspirin.
I'm thankful for family and friends, the anticipation of evening's services, and phone calls.
Midnight: the service of the Word, Holy Communion, moments of recognition of God's Holiness, Joy in Song and Music, Fellowship of the believers; for these I am thankful.
