I'm not so sure about being thankful for being sick. But, I am thankful for a principal who okay-ed me going home rather than asking me to stay for the staff meeting. I'm thankful for sick days if I need one-haven't decided yet. I'm thankful for kindhearted staff and children who know what it feels like and allowed me to finish the day on "slow".
I'm thankful for autumn. Autumn here doesn't come until November and December. It's not as spectacular as New England but we have our moments.Here is a moment from my front yard:
